I absolutely adore pure white animals. No matter what kind, but as long as they are white, I am in love.
I had a paint workshop last weekend were I painted a lot of them. You see, they are taking part at "Le grand carnival" and they had to be spik and span. Today I am featuring La bell du jour, the Tiger and her honeysuckle ribbon. She is bold, proud and beautiful. More to come soon from this series.
Cheers

Hi Tatiana,
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of paint are you using on the animals? I tried a white acrylic crafters paint and after 2 coats I could still see the original colour of the animal.
Thx,
Pam
Hello Pam!
ReplyDeleteI am using acrylic paint as a spray for the white animals. I used to paint them with a brush but I had to waste a lot of time. Now, I paint 4 or 5 coats every time, to be sure and happy with the result, it depends on the original color the animal has. It is more quick than the brush though. You should try one of these sprays, that do on plastic too, they have really good coverage. But don't expect to see the final result after 1 or 2 coats. You need to do more.
For the black animals I also use matte acrylic paint with a brush cause black offers perfect coverage even with one coat. I usually do 2.
I hope I helped!

Thanks Tatiana! Yes, black is definitely easier and 1 coat usually works well. I'll have to try a white spray though. I hadn't thought of that.
